Truth Seeking as a Method of Accountability

In an era of mushrooming disinformation, with public trust in traditional mediums of information at an all time low, the need to address the plethora of misleading and potentially dangerous “information” has never been higher. The contemporary informational spaces provide fertile ground for malicious actors to gain a foothold in public consciousness.

At CIDER - Center for Influence and Disinformation Research - we seek to combat these phenomena, while working towards increasing the public’s capacity to evaluate and analyse subversive influence and narratives proliferating in the world.

In this vein, we employ Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) methodologies in conjunction with investigative journalism and academic research to systematically undertake investigations and comprehensive studies pertaining to Russian and foreign influence as well as disinformation campaigns within the European context.

  • Investigate and expose influence and disinformation campaigns in Europe

  • Analyse the investigations we conducted to learn key patterns in influence and disinformation networks .

  • Disseminate the knowledge gained into usable and deployable assets such as reports, wargames and guidebooks.
